Summary

American Express sought to enhance its ESG impact by using Card Member spending data to understand, reduce, and offset carbon emissions. I played a key role from start to finish, conducting research, product discovery and definition, as well as prototyping, iterative UX design, and documentation. I tracked business goals and user insights, managed stakeholders, and helped shape the design process. The pilot service, Amex Carbon, was launched as American Express's first initiative of this kind, informing their future ESG strategy.

The new website increased sales and strengthened partnerships by introducing Clever’s charging solutions at this crucial journey stage and directing buyers to partner dealerships.
